The urinary system is complexe and become unbalanced as a urinary catheter is inserted. As the natural urine flow is drained on the inside of the Catheter, the urethra is not anymore flushed and a bacterial colonisation occur. Bacterial colonisation is the major problem of nowadays urinary catheter, leading to encrustation, damages to the bladder and the urethra, and discomfort for the patient.
